Toyota Batteries

Our Toyota service department can inspect your battery for you and provide recommendations, such as if you might need a new one. "How would I know if I might need a new battery?" you may ask. Some general rules of thumb include if your battery is more than three years old or if it's outlived its warranty period, you may need a new one. You should  look any of the following as a sign that you might need a battery inspection:

  • Warning lights have come on
  • You've jump-started your vehicle recently
  • You had to use a portable charger to recharge your battery
  • The lights of the vehicle dim when the air conditioning or heat is on
  • You've recently had alternator or belt problems
  • There's any visible corrosion on the battery posts or cables

If you've said yes to any of the above, contact our service department and we'll take a look at your battery. We offer a coupon for a free battery inspection, which you can take advantage of to give yourself peace of mind. If you do need a new battery, our team will recommend ones that work well with your vehicle; you can order your new car battery online with our parts order form as a courtesy of Advantage Toyota Valley Stream.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask us; we'll be happy to discuss all of your car battery options and service questions today.
